摘要

The idea of new diagnostics method for the small-scale irregular structuresof magnetically confined plasma is suggested in the present paper. The methodcan be based on measurements of intensity attenuation of the normal soundingwaves. Anomalous attenuation arises due to multiple scattering effectsinvestigated earlier for ionospheric radio propagation. It has been shown thatmultiple scattering regime can realize in a tokamak plasma. Calculations ofnormal sounding wave anomalous attenuation in a tokamak plasma have beencarried out. This quantity is large enough to be registered experimentally.
